What to be said ?

What is it to be said? Where to sit?

The threads of life are cut bit by bit

And the great president, Iraq will hit

And all the morals seem not to fit

In this world of injustice and idiots

What to is it to be said dear friend?

When all the forces bend with the wind

When terror and injustice become the trend

Of a world without a message of beauty or love to send

What else to be said my dear?

When we wonder every day what to fear

Israeli terror, American war, or transfer

Arabs conspiracy, hypocrisy or condemned silence of tears

Drums are loud for those who have ears

But still they have to listen in order to hear

Injustice is so flagrant for all the eyes

But still for those who open and look to see

And for those who have forgot how to use their senses

Come to Palestine, warmly you are welcomed

For a cup of tea with sage, and a bit of Za'tar

Or you can try to chat on a checkpoint with Israeli soldiers

And when the sun sets and you have no place to go

Follow the noises of bulldozers, the tanks, and the houses they blow

Welcome to Gaza, to the ruins, and to the new landscapes

A new show at every minute is proposed for the adventurers of sorrow

And still, if you want to play the Hero

And still testify of the greatest Israeli democracy

Pass a night or two at Rafah or Nablus

And tell me then what the color of justice is

Tell me how to teach a child how to love

How to be confident in his human fellows

What to think of peace, how not to hate

How to believe still in a better tomorrow

For that we love beauty, love and peace my son

We abhor injustice and those who practice

Hatred, terror, violence and arrogance

The clouds of injustice melt with the clarity of the sun
